The Outer Banks And A Full Moon

April 2, 2010  |  Life on the Outer Banks

The great thing about being on the Outer Banks is the full moon is made extra sweet thanks to the waves dancing in the moons’ seductive glow. It’s been a peaceful way to spend the last couple nights. A camera, a loved one, an empty beach, a full moon, and waves crashing.

All of the photos below were taken with a 15-30 second exposures, which make a few of the photos look as if it’s daylight and the waves silky smooth.

Here are some images from these nights that we have spent watching a full moon and a nearly full moon gracefully glide across the vast Outer Banks night sky.

  1. I was wondering if the top photo of the outer banks beach at night is for sale. It’s on your “the love project” website from April 2010. I’m looking for a nice shot preferrably on canvas for a Christmas gift. Is that something you could do?

    • Hi Sue – I am so glad you like that photo! It is definitely for sale. I am going to send you an email with more details.
